Ps3 Themes

We all know by now that we can download user created XMB themes onto our ps3 from websites such as www.allps3themes.com  www.ps3-themes.com and www.bestps3themes.com. Now there is a new piece of easy to use, user friendly software that enables you to create your OWN!! ps3 themes.

The software is called Ps3ThemeCrator and it can be downloaded and installed on your pc from the following link http://www.freewebs.com/ps3themecreator/ .(thats where I got it from) Also you need any kind of graphics software, for example; Photoshop or even paint.

   Creating the Theme.

First you need to create the icons for each catogory on the XMB using your graphics software, so you need to make an icon for video, game, music etc. The dimesions for the icons MUST be 128×128. You then simply click on the icon you want to change on the ps3 theme creator and then load the icon you have created. For the backgrounds you go through the same steps as you did for the icons but use bigger dimensions. For HD backgrounds use 1920×1080. After you have finished your masterpiece you need to save it to a usb memory stick or a SD card and transfer it to your ps3 and then install it. Install the theme go  Settings>Theme Settings>Theme>Install.

This is just a brief desription of how to create, for any further help contact me on dbaschek@hotmail.co.uk or check it out on YouTube.

Personally i think this software is brilliant, there are other versions of this software available  but none of them or as easy to use or as user friendly as this one.

Killzone 2: UPDATE

So after looking arround I came accross some rather amazing gameplay of Killzone 2. But this time its Multiplayer function. So I can say what I saw is good. Its kind of reassuring that it keeps getting pushed back so that we gamers will have a much better experience.

So the maps. Well they look preeety unique. The scenery overall is some of the best I have seen. The distruction feature is a nice addition too, its not as detailed as Battlefield Bad Company but they odd plate of concrete falling from above your head and smashing onto the floor really gives it that realistic touch.

The visuals look superb and unlike most trialers this developer shows you the real deal no enhanced graphics just Killzone 2 gameplay at its finest!

The weapons look even more amazing. Each team has its standard Assualt Rifle etc. But from what I can gather you can kinda select from a preset class like CoD4. The sniper is even more impresive becoming invisible and only to appear when re-loading.  Whilst the sniper picks off the enemy players seem to be put in (as I can only describe) last stand, in which a team mate goes an heals the player so he can get back on his feet. Eventually the enemy call in air support. A green flair is lit and incomes an aircraft which then guns down the sniper in a bloody graphical effect. And to the end the aircraft is then shot down with missiles.

So what do I think?  SCE and Guerilla have done well. The balance looks awsome. Everything can be counter attacked which is what future games need. Not where noobs run arround with some ub3r poweful gun and slaughter everone. The whole 30 v 30 thing seems to be looking sweet, with each map catering for each amount of chaos. Of course we all knew as soon as this was put into development it would be great and even before release it is proving it! With 2009 getting closer by the day so does Killzone 2.

Here’s to a new beggining of Multiplayer gaming!
